Welcome to the Website of Inner Wheel District 18
After only six years as a member of Inner Wheel I am amazed to be in the position of being Chairman for District 18 – and I'm still not sure how it happened! However I am proud to represent a District that gives so much service to its local communities and that raises such an incredible amount of money for charities, both at home and far away.
Hopefully, our presence on this website will enable us to publicise our activities and to promote Inner Wheel to a wider audience. Throughout this Inner Wheel year, I am looking forward to visiting each club and to meeting the members. I intend participating in as much as is humanly possible; I'm sure it will be a whirlwind but if I'm going to do it I am going to make the most of it.
Along the way I hope to promote, and raise money for, my chosen charity which is Chernobyl Children's Lifeline. This charity, based in North Wales, gives children affected by pollution from the nuclear accident, a short break with fresh air and uncontaminated food. They return home with an extended life span and a better quality of life.
Most of all, I hope that District 18 members maximise their own potential and achieve the maximum benefit from their membership. Enjoy it!
